Stop the beat hold the flow, Let's keep til' tomorrow • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Tobi sighed happily as she skipped towards the hill's edge. Below her, she could see many beautiful meadows of flowers. They were so pretty during this season and she had to enjoy them as much as possible before they'd wilt in the next. That was one of the reasons she loved the lake. It was beautiful and quiet. Plus, it's a great place to exercise. Awake for two hours so far, a class had yet to start. A satisfied glint appeared into her eyes and she silently strolled down the hill's slope in search of a good spot, where she could just enjoy her time alone. Yes, time alone, that’s what she needed.
She needed to get away from those other children in the academy. They were nice, of course, but sometimes a girl just likes peace and quiet. Tori needed to find radiance and she knew she could find some in those flower beds. Tori was most certainly not to get bothered in there, since it was such a quiet morning, and it wasn't so often she'd find one of the boys or girls in the daisy fields. Shudder... Ah well, then being alone would be a good thing.
She sighed happily once she was at a further enough spot, where the only sounds she would hear were the whispers of the wind and her thoughts. A smile played onto the girl’s face and she found herself a way to cuddle into a soft cluster of grass, where she would be comfortable and satisfied. Yes, that would be a perfect world if everyone was happy and cheerful…There were just too many evil creatures in the world, she wished they would just find a better way to resolve their problems than bullying, murder and stuff.
Too bad for Tori though, she knew very well that peace and joy was near to impossible in this vast world of ours. She didn’t mind it much either, even thought it did have some effects on her self-confidence at times but since her ambition was to be the one putting them away, there was nothing in the world she would rather do. Either way she was fine with them, although, she despised the itch saying there were many more out there. But she loved the feeling you get when one sadist is locked up.
Tori smiled some more at the thought and sighed happily, stretching her legs and pulling her soccer ball out of her sling-bag. She kneeled down onto the grass to put the bag down and place the black and white ball in front of her, preparing herself for a long session of dribbling and juggling.
She gave the ball a gentle kick with her heel, bouncing it up and down with her knee, ankle and foot. She collapsed onto the grass with delight, legs outstretched, ball beside her. She began laughing to herself as she felt more and more free, looking ridiculous by the flowers so early in the morning. Not that she minded much at the point being, since she was alone and no one would bother her.

SPENCER
The sleeping sun had not yet penetrated its rays onto the lake, the darkness engulfing Spencer as he walked around, loving the loneliness he was possesing at the moment. He knew not of the girl laying in the grass as he walked dreamily.
"Oof!" he tripped over what seemed like a soft log, and landed face first into a bed of grass. He adjusted himself and stood up, looking at the thing he had tripped over. A girl.
"Oh my god, I'm sorry!" he said, his shyness enveloping him, causing him to stutter out his usual statistics, "At such an early hour, most people are asleep, their bodies needing to recuperate from the day before's happenings, but now since it's five o'clock, most of them should be cleansing vital organs such as the liver or kidney."
He mentally kicked himself, way to go, Spencer.

Stop the beat hold the flow, Let's keep til' tomorrow • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Ouch. It was the only thing Tobi could mutter as a figure fell onto her, or rather, onto the ground, but its legs were still on hers. She looked up and glanced at the thing. A boy. W-wait, Spencer?
Tobi had met this boy some days ago at the stables, she had entered the wrong stable and went into his horse's, where he himself was, and they became fast friends. It seems that Spencer was a shy boy, and Tobi was comfortable talking to a boy who didn't think he was the 'boss'. Smiling as he bantered on facts, she fell back to the grass in laughter.
”Spencer Mantegna, can’t you recognize a friend?” she joked after she had finished her laughing fit. ”You, of all people, should have remembered. What happened to (and I quote) ‘I have an eidetic memory, an IQ of 197 and can read ten thousand words per minute’?” She recited what the freshman had said to her a few days prior, imitating his shaky voice. She went to sit beside him and gave him a gentle poke on the shoulder. ”Show off.” she smiled, sitting next to him. [/blockquote]

Spencer's eyes grew wider. T-Tobi? He had seen the girl before, when she had unexpectedly walked into Black Forrest's stall, thinking it was her horse's. He had seen her as a pretty, sweet sophomore. She looked even more beautiful by the rising sun, birhgt hazel eyes looking very much like his twin sisters.
That was one of the reasons Spencer liked Tobi. She was exactly like his sister, in both personality and looks. He smiled sheepishly at the sophomore. It was true that he had said those things, and also true that he did have them, and could do them.
She came closer to him and poked his shoulder. He laughed slightly. "I told you before, I just get nervous."

Stop the beat hold the flow, Let's keep til' tomorrow • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Tobi rolled her eyes as he said so. ”If you’re so ‘terrible’ and ‘nervous’ around girls, why can you talk to me then, huh? she teased, giving him her biggest smile, her long brown hair slung over her left shoulder. She intently studied the freshman that morning. He was in his usual black and white attire, it seemed. She giggled to herself. He wore what looked like the same thing every time she saw him. His sister of course, differed from him greatly. Tobi felt as if sometimes, Janelle was her own twin. [/blockquote]

Shaking lightly, Spencer laughed nervously. "Um, I... er..." He was about to say that she was like his sister, who he could be comfortable around. Plus, he liked her. But it sounded way sappy.
He lowered his head a little bit and thought. This was going to sound weird, I think. Spencer drew in a deep breathe. Here we go... "I don't know. I guess, I just feel... great when you're near me. I... just, well... like you."
Spencer put his head between his knees and sighed, waiting for her reaction.

Stop the beat hold the flow, Let's keep til' tomorrow • • • • • • • • • • • • • • For the longest time, Tobi fell silent. Were her ears telling the truth? It seemed to her strange that a freshman, or anyone for that matter, would think of her as nice and comfortable to be around with. If you considered her non-stoppable mouth, and desire to jump around all the time, her company was anything but comfortable.
”I…” was all her confused tongue could manage. She immediately felt hot, and when she was nervous there was only one thing she was used to doing. Flee. Under that tough tomboy’s skin, Tobi was cowardly and sometimes worse than Spencer. She picked up her ball and sling-bag, still shocked. She stood up, and fled. [/blockquote]
