Western Arena

The larger of the rings, the western arena is a rectangular enclosure where at one end there is a gated area allowing students, with help, to simulate a rodeo release. All-weather timers are bolted to the top rung of the fence and the sand flooring allows for slightly softer landings and better simlations of real rodeo riding. During events, calves may be brought for team roping competitions.
