But no matter what, you barely ever see him in anything but black jackets, white shirts, black slacks and white sneakers. This jocky dress code, however, is completely different than his true personality, giving people quite a wrong first impression.
Personality
Normal Temperament: The only word to describe him is no more than three letters. Shy. Spence is a very awkward teenager. He is very smart and when he feels cornered the only thing he can think of doing is spill out a line of random statistics that not even a computer would know, or bentering something out of his eidetic memory. His brilliance is a great tool, in school and when impressing adults. The only draw back is a lot of times it can scare off women, or really anyone that doesn't know him well enough to know that he is just scared. Spencer is just not a social guy, always having trouble connecting to girls, because ever since he was a kid he was made fun of by girls and boys alike.
Under the awkward shell he is a very nice guy, able to focus and come up with things that no one else would think of. He is very kind and doesn't like to see anyone hurt, but if you include being bullied himself, that is very hard. Always a victim of potential bullying in both elementary and middle school, Spencer created the shell people see. An ace at mathematics and science, taking high school subjects in grade school.
When he was younger, Spencer was so fragile looking that at times one could be afraid to squeeze him to hard in case he broke. His face was one of an innocent child. Spencer was often found wearing what could be called as normal geek cloths. Meaning dress pants and a nice shirt and tie with a sweater vest over it. Lots of times he wore clothes don't always match that well and everyday he wore two different colorful mitch-match socks.
At the age of eleven, Spence had hit puberty. He bought contact lenses to replace the big goofy glasses he had once worn, suddenly caring for his appearance around others. But sadly, he was still skinny and weak. His mother suggested him to take up any sorts of physical activity. And he did. He took up riding, his horse being a mere foal named Black Forrest. For the first year he only groomed it, and when she was a year old filly, she was ready for riding. With his petite figure, the little filly had no problem trying to support his weight.
The young equine grew in size, becoming a mare, whereas her owner also grew, becoming a teenager. Young Spencer grew taller, more athletic, and less like the nerd he was before. At the age of fifteen, you saw a completely different boy: active, fun, but still shy. That is Spencer now.
Spencer is also more of a follower than a leader. He likes to be given orders and having to follow them, not that he can't function without them or anything, he just doesn't like to be the guy standing in front of everyone telling them what to do. His fear of public speaking has gotten better over the years and as long as he is standing up there with someone else he is able to stand having all eyes on him.
Spence tries to make himself seem like a tough, independent guy, though he would never be one. This, along with his intellect, is a shell he wears to protected himself from who knows what. If you get under this shell you find a man still under repair from the countless things that have happened to him in his life time. You find a vulnerable kid fighting against a world that is too big and scary for one person to take on. Yet he doesn't have enough trust in the world to let more people help him. Though he does have his friends and he knows that if he ever needs them they will be there for him.
Oh, one more thing. He still can't match his socks.
