EMILEE ....Dont let it get you down Light shone through the small window, as soft eyes peered out. The femme stepped away from the open window, shutting her soft yes only to open them to eye black dots from the bright sunlight. The Femmes Pillars carried her swiftly to the door, as it creaked open foot steps could be hear down the hall.
Emilee stepped out shutting the large door behind her. Soft steps could be heard from under the petite femme as she walked down the hall and out the large doors facing the barn. Doors open and the small femme steps out. Eye wandering around to see a familiar face, but none found. Pillars carried her to barn entrance.
She walked in, A the equines head peered out the half stall door, a smiled twirling across the teens face. The Sorrel and white stained mare let a Nicker into the crisp air as Emilee approached. Digits could feel the mares soft muzzle then moved up into the mares soft mane. Digit twirling it around before opening the door and letting the mare into her arms.
A head stall slipped gentle over the mare beautiful face as pale digits held the lead rope attached. The door opened as Emilee walked the sorrel stained mare into the arena. Pale digits held a leather bridle, it slipped over the mares face and leather reins draped over the mares neck. Emilee walked over to the mounting block, the loyal mare by her side.
The femme mounted the mare in one smooth movement. The mare moved into a fast gated walk around the arena. Digits grasped the mares mane and twined it through her digits before grasping the reins and legs squeezed the equines barrel as her gated turned smoothly over to a collected canter. Dark locks bounced on the petite girls shoulders as she moved along gracefully with the equines movements. They went around the arena mending into one.

Daylight again. Another long day, another equally long night coming... another many hours of torture as he tried to avoid thinking of just how badly he wanted... Half of him wished he’d never gotten addicted... the other half of him wished that he could just say ‘screw it’ and go back to his old ways... but since he didn’t fancy sitting on the inside of a prison cell for the rest of his life, well, he was screwed both ways, it seemed. He had, however, found a way to cheat his mind for a little while. Smoking. Granted, it wasn’t the usual downers, cocaine, or anything else... but it made him feel a bit better, made him more at ease, more lax... and, surprisingly, more friendly.
He was unsure of the rules concerning... but even if there were rules, he’d ignore them. The half-gone cigarette hung from the corner of his mouth as he entered the big stallions stall after standing outside it for about twenty minutes. The stallion horse inside, a big bay OTTB, five years of age and a bit of a handful, stood peacefully in the corner, dozing... his presence lying to his own attitude. A dark leather halter made its home on his large head, the matching lead hung over Maddox’s arm.
Without a word, the lead was attached to the halter and the stallion, used to the curt but gentle and quiet way that his handler worked, followed the young man out of the stall, swishing his tail in annoyance. Maddox wasn’t a person who lavished praise on his horses or who even spoke to them much. He demanded obedience and only praised when they’d done something major. He’d brush them, but it was rare that he’d pet them just for the heck of it. Maddox had gotten his way of acting from the man who’d given him the stallion, police officer Carlin Thomas.
The boy and horse walked towards the cross ties, where the stallion was left alone for a few minutes until his owner came back carrying the bridle and one of the saddles that came with the horse; western. It was safer, western was... especially for one such as Ariz. He wasn’t a bad horse, he was just high strung and excitable. A bit too much for Maddox, really...
It showed as the bridle slipped on. The stallion stood readily for the bitless bridle. He was hell to get a bit in... so he went bitless. When the saddle came, though, the trouble started. Up he went, front legs lifting about a foot or two in the air as he reared. It wasn’t in anger, but excitement. Ears flicked furiously as he moved back and forth, side to side in the ties. Ariz! Maddox, used to the horses antics, as he’d ridden him a bit in the past, slapped the side of his hind leg, cupping his hand to make the noise echo. The stallion stilled for a moment... not for long, but long enough for the boy to throw the saddle on and cinch it up loosely. He’d tighten it later.
Hands grasped the reins and tugged the horse towards the arena. The whole way, Arizona pranced, dancing side to side with his head up and tail flicking crazily, this way and that. The hyperactive stallion circled around Maddox, striking out as he came even with the boy, but Donovan was ready for his tricks and carefully dodged the leg, aiming a slight kick towards the offending limb. No. His gruff voice said, speaking around the cigarette as some ashes fell. A trail of smoke wafted through the air as they entered the arena.
Ariz quickly noticed the other pair and sent a shrill neigh towards the duo, ducking his head and throwing his thick tail through the air as he kicked up his heels, one leg nearly coming into contact with his owner until Maddox jerked him around.

The mare focussed her atantion to the beautiful girl attop her bodice. Emilee slowed the mare into a bouncy trot as she posted nicly. Emilees orbs cought a guy bringin his horse into the arena, she could tell that his horse was still young and athletic. And fresh. As the horse was exitied. The young girl gave a soft smile as her and horse passed the pair.
Emi looked stright ahead, there was an opening entrace that was blcoked off with a openable gate. She eyed it slowing Doll down to a walk, she stopped in front of it, she made soft suddle movements to the right rein holding it. as she horse didt a tight circle before stopped dirctly infront of the open door way that was blocked with a gate. Doll pirked her auddits and her orbs glanced around the out side.
Emilee asked Doll for a flying change a dressage gate that she loved. Although the pair jumped, she still thought the mare the gate. The mare pranced smoothly towards the guy and his stallion before turning sharply, Emilee asked for a canter again, her hair blew back as a grew flew in the open gate way. a Smile streched across her face as the pair halted infront of the small jump. Emilee slid down from the horse as she counted the steps before the jump.
Emilee made a few movements and clicked smoothly as Doll laye down with a thud. Emilee smiled and was prowed of her work. She looked at the horse scratching her side. She sat down with her legs on either side of the mare before pulling up on the reins and clicking to the mare. She stood up fast and bumpy.
Emilee smiled before asking for a walk, then trot, then canter the were soon lined with the jump, she counted as her twined her digit in the mares mane as they pair landed on the other side. Doll snorted softly before wickering to the other horse in the arena.

His hands were tied... a good way of putting it. He had his problems keeping Ariz from freaking out as the other duo worked. The stallion was excited by the mare, excited by the arena, excited by the saddle on his back and bridle on his head. Ariz skittered sideways, jerking his head in the air and pulling the reins through his handler’s hand about a foot.
The leather reins burned. Maddox was well aware of that, as he’d been acquainted with leather-burn more than once messing with Ariz. Still, that didn’t stop him from drawing in a sharp breath and exhaling it in an expletive. Stupid stallion... should have had him cut, but no...
The stallion reared slightly as the other two jumped and then bounded forwards a few steps, checking his stride when his head was jerked back around and he circled.
Show off... His expression was closed off as he watched bits and pieces of her ride. It was hard not to, as they were both in the same place, but considering he was having trouble with the stallion, it could be considered a feat.
Ariz finally calmed down slightly when the other horse whickered. He stood still for just a moment, then called out to her, loud and shrill, echoing. He was, afterall, all stallion.
The cigarette fell from Maddox's mouth as the stallion circled again, landing on the ground, ruined. Maddox sent the horse a dark look, though it didn't phase the animal a bit. already, the teen dark sleeveles shirt was more rumpled that it already had been and the slash-like rip in his ragged jeans had widened by about two inches during the trouble.

Emilee watched the guy work with his stallion, she could feel the mares musculs get tence before relaxing, she spun the mare around in a circle before she softly nickerd back. Emi looked at the stallion then patted her mares side. she liked the feel of riding bare back, she found you could get a better feel of your horse and your horse could feel you better.
Emilee smiled brefly before walking Doll into the stables, she slid off the mares back and took of the natrual hackamour. Emilee let Doll back into her stall before her legs carried her across the isle. she peerd into the stall only to see the little horse laying down. Em giggled and let her self into the stall. Come on silly, she said patting the minature blue roan and white stainded stallion.
Emilee attached a small chain and leather lead to the little stallions halter before letting them both out of the stall. They enterd the ring, the little guys lead in one hand and a lunging line in the other. Emi walked to the middle of the ring, giving the other guys horse some room. She cliped the lunge to his halter and unclipped the chain lead and let it drop.
Emilee smiled and pointed to the right and clicked tapping the ground with a stick. She walked the stallions movments before he trotted around her. she eyed him, and his legs, she watched his muscules and the way he eyes looked at her and the way his right ear leaned towards her. Em smiled tapping the ground with more force, this made the little stallion chaged into a rough canter around her.

Once they left, Ariz quieted down. Enough so that Maddox was able to get to his side and tighten the girth and then pull out another cigarette and light it. As the stallion started to spin in another circle, he leapt aboard, riding the spinning horse with an ease the demonstrated practice... at least with the stallion in particular. Pesky... Walk normal, for once.
The stallion had none of it, though. He’d been off the track for a while, but he still acted like he was about to race everywhere. He bounded into a very quick walk, strung out and incredibly hollow... for the first few minutes. By the time she came back leading the miniature, Ariz had calmed down a bit more and was walking in a bit better frame, though still nowhere near as good as he could.
As with the mare, the sight of another horse sent the stallion into a frenzied excitement. He screamed again, his vocals still shrill, and jerked his head down, pulling the reins through Maddox’s hands again.
Maddox had enough. Ariz had always been a high strung equine, but he’d been around other horses before and had acted ok... what was so different now... The dark haired boy snapped. With a wrench, he jerked Ariz’s head around, velvety nose touching his knee, causing the horse to spin in quick circles. What the hell is wrong with you! He raged from his seat atop the seventeen hand stallion. Damn horse... not much is different here than from the Thomas’s! Seen other horses... worthless! Once, twice, four times, going on seven times... lost count of how many circles they spun in before Maddox let the reins go and the stallion’s head jerked back straight as they both, horse and owner, swayed. Ariz’s legs sprawled as he struggled to keep his balance and Maddox swayed slightly before he swung off the saddle, hitting the ground on his feet, but quickly going to his hands and knees as the dizziness and spinning feeling took over his body.

The Minature stopped as Emilee slowed him, and asked him to turn to her, she smiled as the little stallion walked towards her. Emilee's head turned along with Jacks, they both glaced at the stallion and the man before Emi clipped the lead back to the stallion and took the lung off him.
Emilee smiled over her shoulder and walked with the stallion, she let him have some rope before she walked with him across the arena to the gate. The Mini stallion followed at her side. Emilee reached the gate and Jack lifted his front daggers from the ground he was exitied about going out side, she opend the gate and then shut it, she still watched the guy in the arena on his horse.
Emilee stood out there for a while letting the other pair have the arena while her Jack stood out side. She watched jack with soft orbs, he grazed happly as she leaned aganst to arena wall.

With high stepping action, the stallion trotted down the arena, not worrying about his reins, as they were still looped over his neck, and not worrying about his owner. His flowing gait moved into a cast canter, then a long strided gallop as he played, running the length of the arena before turning at the very last minute and coming back.
Maddox waited for the arena to stop spinning before he shakily stood up and watched the stud, a scowl crossing his face and a hard look in his eye. He wouldn’t deny it, the lightheaded-ness he’d felt immediately after the spinning stopped reminded him a lot of how it felt to be high on something... well, that would only make things harder if spinning was to become a common occurrence. Arms crossed, he proceeded to ignore his horse and walked to the side of the arena, not flinching when the stallion ran close by him, swerving at the last minute to just miss him. Keep it up an’ you’ll be seeing the inside of a slaughterhouse! His voice was loud as he yelled after the stallion. Don’ see how you’re supposed to keep me out of trouble... These words were muttered.
He stopped nearby the girl with the mini and glanced her way, scowl not leaving his face. For now, he would ignore the stud. He should have lunged or something beforehand, but Maddox hadn’t been prepared for the horse to act so... hyper. He’d also, he noticed, lost his second cigarette during the spinning.
I suppose... while idiot over there is... His thoughts whirl winded, Meet and greet... whatever... his arms uncrossed and found the slash-like rip in his jeans, playing with it and making it bigger as he opened his mouth. At least today wasn’t a bad day. Uh... nice... pony? He asked/said, directing it towards the girl. He wasn’t really around horses enough to know that the ‘pony’ was, in actuality, a miniature. His voice was, as usual, gruff and slightly sarcastic, though an undertone and veiled anger could be heard. Anger directed as Ariz. Maddox truly didn’t care about getting to know other people... not on the outside, at least. He’d told himself so many times during the past that people were just a quick way to make money or they’d screw you over quicker than you could say ‘whatever’... but somewhere, hidden beneath the layers, he knew that he’d like to have at least one friend... if anyone could stand him long enough to get to know him. The ex-con/ex-druggie/ex-drug dealer (well, sorta on the last two accounts, since he was struggling with it) knew the truth, he’d turned out so... well, he was just so naturally sarcastic and such a bastard that he tended to drive people away. Well, that was what happened when a person grew up in a mess of a home with a druggie mother and unknown father, a little sister who was hardly ever home, a little brother who’d disappeared and was presumed dead, and an older sister who wanted nothing to do with the family. That was just what happened.
What I wouldn’t do... The words were muttered lowly as he stared back over his shoulder at the stallion, who was still prancing up and down the arena and neighing every few minutes.
