[/size]Walking into the barn, Becca found where she had placed Inferno last - the stall that had already been prepared for him and had his tags and all of his amazing stuff on it. Smiling, she make a clicking noise with her tongue, getting Inferno's attention. His head snapped up from where he stood, chewing on the hay that was left on the ground. Inferno nickered, hay sticking out of the sides of his mouth. Laughing, she opened the stall door and patted her large Thoroughbred stallion. Inferno was one of the best horses she's had and ridden in a long time. The stallion had a mind of his own, but that didn't bother her. Smiling, she rubbed his forehead and gave him a baby which he ate quickly. Putting the halter over him, she clipped the lead rope and tied him up in his stall. Walking out, she grabbed his saddle, saddle pad, bridle, and grooming box. After that, she walked back and set everything down. She groomed him down well, combing through his mane and tail as well. After that, she placed the saddle pad down and placed the saddle on top of that. She bridled him up and soon put her helmet and spurs on. Patting the stallion's neck, she tugged a bit and he moved forward next to her.
Walking outside, the day was perfect. The sun was out, shining and the white puffs of clouds scattered everywhere. Inferno perked his ears, nickering loudly and began to pick up his speed of walking, which Becca tried to calm him down and stop him. Once to the gate of the outdoor arena, she opened it and lead him in. Once in, she shut the gate - this was for purposes such as her getting thrown off. Smiling softly, she walked him to the center of the arena. She didn't want Inferno thinking that if he got to the gate he would leave or get started. Flickering his audits, Inferno snorted loudly. Once in the center of the arena, Becca grabbed the reins and part of his mane, her other hand going to the back of the saddle and her left foot in the left stirrup. Once doing that, she mounted him with ease, and with the movements of the saddle, Inferno began walking forward. Not yet ready, Becca pulled back on the reins and told him to stop. Inferno kicked at his belly before stopping. Praising him by giving him a pat on his rump, she settled herself down in the saddle and gathered him, making his neck curve and show all of his muscles. Flickering his audits once again, Inferno soon placed them back to listen to her cues and commands. Tapping her feet on his sides, she asked him to move forward at a simple walk. The jumps in the arena were already made to his jumps, simply because before Becca walked in to get him, she made them the way she wanted them to be. Shaking his head, Inferno swished his tail to the side, perking his ears as they passed one of the jumps at a walk.
Tapping his sides again, he moved into a smooth trot, picking his hooves up elegantly. She liked his movements because they were so noticeable yet, it felt like she was flying. He was a springy horse, and she loved him. Rubbing his neck, she soon asked him to turn and go into the other direction. She continued to move him around, getting his shoulders moving and getting him warmed up. After making him trot around the arena a couple times, then asking him to stop and move into a canter, she found he was ready and settled. Cantering Inferno around the arena a couple more times in both directions, she moved him forward toward the jump. She counted his steps and soon got into position. Inferno's ears perked as he pulled himself into his hindquarters and flung himself forward and over the jump perfectly. Landing with a light thud, he continued on at the canter. Her first jump in a long time, and it was simply perfect.TAGS?! No one, open for anyone who wants to join in
