the college
Woodmoor Acres is the training and boarding facility located off campus of Woodmoor University. The stable is home to horses owned by students of WU and is where classes in the equine field will be taught. It is just about a 10 minute drive from campus and is located in a beautiful area of the countryside.
the barns
There are two barns at Woodmoor Acres, the Western Barn and the English Barn. Each barn houses the horses that participate in that discipline. Horses that cross over into both disciplines are allowed to select which barn they'd rather board in.
There is a bit of a rivalry going on between the barns, the teams not only get competitive at shows but there is competitiveness between both groups on a daily basis. Many people choose to stick around their own barn, while others enjoy spending time in the areas where everyone hangs out.

the horses
Woodmoor Acres is geared towards stock horses. They board Quarter Horses, Paints, and Appaloosas, with an occasional Thoroughbred. Their primary focus is on showing - Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, and the like. There are trainers specializing in western and english show events and recently they have broadened to include gaming and cattle work. Most of the horses that live on the farm are boarded by students. The majority of them are trained to show, though a couple of students have ranch horses or trail riding horses.
